I've come back today from Belfast and I have to say I'm a bit sad now because I had such a wonderful time with wonderful people!
I'm really glad that my cousin is in a relationship with someone from abroad though she's been living in France for some years now.
And ow they have a cute and lovely baby girl, aw~

When my cousin called to invite us to the baptem in Belfast, I was really happy, I had never been to Ireland before!
I thought it'd be even greater if the ceremony was in Eire but still, I couldn't wait.
And actually, I really really enjoyed Belfast, its surrondings and the people there...
It's such a different atmosphere than in France, people are way nicer and more... free.
And there are pubs, old buildings, big shops, music and food everywhere, so nice!

That was my first contact with the Northern Irish culture and then, I met my cousin in law's family, I was a bit aprehensive because I had never ever met or even talked with any of them before but everything went smoothly and talking with everyone suddenly became so natural.
So we had lots of fun altogether and they praised my English and my accent too :D

Seems like I sound a lot British when I talk, they were a bit surprised.
So communication was really easy, they do have an accent (for me), but it's not as strong as the Scottish one.
English, Guinness, fun... what else could I have asked?!

I'll go back to Belfast and around again for sure, it's just that I don't when.
But now, I have to see Southern Ireland, I'm going to Dublin on April with a friend.
And you know, when I landed back in Paris, I felt down, CDG airport was messy like hell, people around me were not smiling and polite anymore at all, everybody was dressed the same, I just wanted to go back to Belfast.

Anyway, if you have the occasion to go to Northern Ireland one day, just go, it's totally worth it!
I really think that Northern Ireland is a lot underestimated, people often say that Eire is great but the North has a lot a charms too!

  • BIG BANG 's come back delays
  • Potential too overwhelming presence of autotune on upcoming BIG BANG album
  • Not having been able to see the Wonder Girls in Cannes
  • Not being in Paris while Vanness Wu is there
  • Waiting for the last 2 eps of Gumiho
  • Where's Gahee's solo activity Pledis!?
  • Having to work on Saturdays
  • Not being able to find a Japanese course in my region
  • That iPods can be synchronized on only ONE computer

I did plenty of things since my return in Normandy but nothing worth to be said here so I didn't update my LJ.

Now, 2NE1 have returned and I was scared their album would be too electronic and my fears were definitely justified.
First listening... didn't make a very good impression on me but I kept playing the songs.
Few hours after, I was already singing parts of Clap Your Hands, Go Away, Can't Nobody and Hurts...
Conclusion: the songs apparently got struck in my head so I guess it was a winning comeback for me.
And CL is looking freakin awesome with blond hair!

I can't wait for BIG BANG's comeback in Korea, I want to see them already >_<
Their latest song in Japanese is kinda addictive, I love it, or maybe i'm being too impatient and like everything they release.
Also watched the ending of Nineteen and TOP was singing. Awww~

I've begun to watch Running Man, the new show hosted by Yoo Jae Suk and it's not bad but still not exceptional.
But I'm glad to see my cutie-pie Song Joong Ki even more ♥_♥
Gary and Gwang Soo are very funny too.
The episode with Cha Tae Hyun as a guest was absolutely hilarious.

Oh new addictions, the first one is a well-known Korean rock Band named YB.
I love the leader's voice and the melodies of the songs, try Still You.
I actually discovered this group thanks to the 2nd addiction: LeeSsang, try The girl who can't break up, the boy who can't leave.
Since Gary and Gil (the members of the groups) were so funny on TV shows, I decided to listen to their music.
The last album they've released, Hegonal, is pure awesomess!
And now LeeSsang feat. YB with Run.

And no news of After School Gahee solo activity, WTF!

K8 are gonna release a new album and... a film... with ALL the members!
I think their my only big Japanese/Johnny's fandom now.
I still watch some Arashi-related stuff but less and less.

On a more personal note, 2 newborn cousins, 1 boy and 1 girl and 1 coming pretty soon.
I'm still working teaching English and Spanish and I'm gathering new materials to do better courses.
The only thing I don't like in my job is that I'm not free on Saturdays.
Ok, off to watch brand new episode of Glee now ♫

Gonna talk about dramas in next entry.

Hi everyone, I hope that you're spending a nice Summer and the lucky ones who are on holidays... ENJOY~

I'm sorry for having neglected this LJ for several months already, I guess that my life is not that interesting xD

Anyway, just wanted to you that August is gonna be a busy busy time for me so I won't post here a lot I think (except if I'm too bored at work :D).

Not related at all but... Club 8 has "opened" its door!!!
I couldn't understand everything on the note, it's about some rules for the club...
I'll patiently wait for a translation now.

Today like everyday, I checked D-Addicts and I saw a JPop Suki thread so I was wondering if something had happened on that tracker since there have been huge changes on D-Addicts.
So now, I know you need to be invited to download via this tracker and miraculously, I had registered on their new tracker while it was opened so I have an account.
For those you'd like an invite, I'm sorry, I'm just a "user" and haven't seeded enough to send the 2 invites I have, maybe later ^__^

Today, I also discovered SeoulFM and I really like this radio station, they play everything I like and you can make requests via their Twitter!
So I tried and asked for Epik High's Fan and they played it for me.
It's funny because when it comes to K-Music, I really listen all kinds of genres and artists, which is not the case for J-Music.
I love some of Johnny's Ent. groups, Kanjani8 being the first in my personnal ranking, and very few others.
There's not this one monopole by one company in Korea though we can't denied that there's competition.

So, I could listen to the radio while doing some housework.
I plugged my wireless headphone base on my laptop and could go here and there in the house.
And I have to confess... I love SHINee's Ring Ding Dong ç___ç
I can't help it, I love everything about this song, rythm, the guys' voices...
Oh, SeoulFM is back live, I've just requested 잊지 말아요 (Don't Forget) by Baek Ji Young

And most importantly, drama spree is back, yeah baby!
I'm still watching Smile, you but I've also begun some old ones.
The first is a J-Drama called "Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu" and god, I'd never thought I'd cry like that!
The story isn't really original, not at all actually but the way it's narrated and the whole atmosphere is deeply touching.
*(Ahhhhhh, 잊지 말아요 is playiiiiiiiiiing! Sorry for the spazz XD)*

The 2nd one is Korean, it's "Time Between Dog and Wolf".
Since I'm really liking Jung Kyung Ho right now, I decided to watch it.
I couldn't before before I had seen him in I'm Sorry I Love You and hated his character from all my heart (yeah, I know it's stupid).
When I watched the 1st episode, I immediately recognized Bangkok and spent half of the time remembering how great it was when I was there and the other half wondering when I'd see my Jung Kyung Ho eye candy XD
*(Wow, I'm totally discovering After School's talent thanx to SeoulFM!)*

On a more serious note, I'll now be working on Saturdays T.T
It's ok coz I'll be teaching English to a 12 year-old boy in my village ^^
*(Ohhhhh, Wedding Dress by Taeyang playing ♥♥♥)*

It's 3:20am, goin' to bed now!
aanjali: (06)
I changed my 1st post banner because the colors of the BSX ad go better with my header, yeah just for this simple reason ^^

Last week, I went to see Avatar... at last.
The 3D experience was incredible but I think it's really not the movie to see when you've never tested the 3D glasses...
It took me a long time to get used to these damn glasses, first because I have a perspective problem so it wasn't easy for me, and since I have a tiny asian nose (XD), the big glasses kept sliding.
Anyway, it was great and I don't care if the story is like a copy of Pocahontas, it was really beautiful!

I've begun to read Tablo's Pieces of you, it's really well written... it's Tablo of course.
I'm in the middle of the 2nd story right now and I thinking about using some passages of the book for my English classes.
Well yeah, Tablo's writting style is good, full of poetry and there are feelings in the stories.

Today's Lunar new year's eve in France and I'm doing nothing in particular.
It's strange because when I was living in England, I used to celebrate it with some Asian friends, we cooked a lot of things...
This year, I think I'm gonna prepare some stuff by myself, maybe I'll go to Paris to see the festivities, I don't know.

Fangirly speaking... I watched eps 7, 8, 9 and 10 of 0 Goshitsu no Kyaku.
This drama is really simple but very original so I like it a lot.
And the way how the next guests are introduces is well done, I can't wait to see Hina's eps now!

Bloody Monday 2 is waaaaaaay better than season 1 imo!
Well, for the moment... I've just watched the first 2 eps for the moment.
Miura's acting is better, thanks god cuz I was beginning to wonder if he was really an actor >.>
There's no idle-times and the ends of each episode are great.

I finished to watch Smile, damn that one was loooooooong!
The story was good, I mean the drama talked about real problems but I got so bored.

That was for the Japanese side, now Korean time!
And of course, I'm gonna talk a bit about Smile, you!!
This drama is just great, you experience a whole range of emotions xhen you watch it.
Anger, hatred, joy, happiness, laugh, romantism, cheesiness, passion, cries... in almost each episode.
It's definitely my fav K-Drama with My Girl (Korean version of course).

Oh, I recently watched Cass new CF, you know the long version with YEH and Nichkhun and i discovered "Tik Tok" and... I love the song! ♥
I had never listened to ot before and seriously, I was soooooo wrong.

I still haven't finished to watch all the X-Man eps I have but I can see the end!
In some of the last eps, there's Baek Ji Young and I want to be friend with her, she looks so funny!
When I could see her in the background while the camera was on others, she was really having fun with the other candidates, she was talking and taking in her arms the younger Japanese/Korean idol (?) Ayumi, so sweet.

I also watched a big part of the videos on the Map The Soul Youtube account...
Seriously, those guys are hilarious and I now present you my new alarm message.
Tablo posted a pic a Tukutz few days ago, he was on vacation and came to the studio to say hello to the others.
At the moment, I realized that I really miss him in the group, so if you feel the same, just watch that XD

Sorry for no LJ cut, and I leave you with this.
Oh and just... I need to say that... K8 are getting their first national TV show! ♥
aanjali: (06)
My K-Pop addiction managed to make me forget a bit about my Johnny's addiction, I have to confess...
Now, groups like BIG BANG, 2NE1 or Epik High have a bigger place than Arashi, TOKIO, Kinki Kids and SMAP in my life.
But when I watch some Kanjani8 perfs of TV shows, I'm all excited and I've realized I'll never stop fangirlize over those guys, they're too precious to me =3

If I had to choose only one fandom on each side, I'd definitely keep Kanjani8 for the Japanese side and BIG BANG would be their Korean counterpart.
But I have to say that my love for Epik High is growing more and more every day and I can't wait for MYK's solo album!

And Tablo is a genius.
This is something he wrote on Twitter, a blonote as he calls them.

"A period that shed a tear becomes a comma; a comma that gathers its tear becomes a period."

I have my own interpretation of this sentence, maybe you have yours too and we can share ^^

I understand it this way:
When you can't turn the page after a painful experience, when you can't forget something, you just can't put a period at the end of your story because it's still hurting, for you it's not the end yet, you may cry a lot again and again and it seems endless... You definitely can't put a period and begin another story.
Then, when you feel better, when you're able to heal and maybe forget those painful times, you dry your tears and you can end the story peacefully, you don't need to remember the past anymore, you don't suffer anymore like before, you're able to move forward and to put a period at the end of that particular story to begin a new one.
aanjali: (Ryo)
Ok, now I can say it because it's confirmed!
In 2 weeks... TWO WEEKS... I'm gonna see Epik High in live!

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] newscasterbambi we have invites to see Epik High (and f(x) but I don't really care XD) showcase in Cannes at the end of the month!

I can't believe I'm gonna see and maybe talk (and I do hope so) with Epik High members!
Too bad Tukutz won't be there (he's entered the army few months ago).

So, yes, I'm going to Cannes with [livejournal.com profile] cheshire_noneko[livejournal.com profile] naesa_chan13 and [livejournal.com profile] newscasterbambi!!!
I don't even know the town, doesn't matter...

Train tickets are bought, apartment is booked, everything's ok!

If you don't know their music, you can start with "Fan", awesome song!
aanjali: (TOP)

So it's a new year, another one and I hope it's gonna be better than 2009 which hella sucked!

I can't sleep tonight because today a friend of mine called me and gave some VERY good news!
So I don't wanna talk about right now cause it's not 100% sure but believe me, it's HUGE!

"A friend is one that knows you as you are,
understands where you have been,
accepts what you have become,
and still, gently allows you to grow
- William Shakespeare

When I read that, I thought that the last two lines were really beautiful.
I don't know if a friend always know and understand us, but to me, those last two lines sound perfectly right.
Shakespeare wrote that long ago but this man was a genius, he was so modern for his time.
Everything he wrote, every story (well, apart the historical plays of course) could happen nowadays.
A lot of people don't like Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet version because of the mix of the original dialogues and the modern setting, but I think he wanted to show that Shakespeare's stories are definitely timeless.

That was the serious minute of the month, thank you for listening 8D

OMG, I've just learnt something... unexpected!
My Korean age is actually 25.

In Korea, people take the time you spent in your mother's womb into account and then simplified saying that when you're born you're already 1 year old.
I'm Korean, I was born in Korea and I got1 year older in just one day XD

I have lenses now, I can see cleeeeear~
Well, it's a bit weird because I'm used to wear glasses.
But it's true that I can see better now.

This morning, it was a bit difficult put them, it took me a long time.
And I think that I had put the left one the back to front because it was really uncomfortable.

I hope I won't lose them @___@

I've encoded the TEAM SP with Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and Uchi \o/
It's uploading on Megaupload now, and I'll put it on Mediafire too.
Well, my job wasn't difficult, I had to put the credits, the song lyrics and translation and then encode/upload the SP.
I hope that Kanjani8 fans will be pleased with our work.

Currently watching the 21th Family Outing, I love that show ♥
My favourite personnlity in it is Lee Chun Hee, he's so clumsy and naive sometimes.
I have the impression that he's a male version of me XD

I wrote about BIG BANG's song "Haru Haru" previously.
Ahhhhh, I'm totally in love with it and its MV as well!
This band is special to me because I don't consider those guys as a real boys band.
They're more like a real group doing great music, even though it's not the kind of music I usually listen.
And their MV are like mini films, I really like when there are stories in MV/PVs

BIG BANG - Haru Haru MV (Eng subs)

BIG BANG - Haru Haru (Acoustic Version Live)
BIG BANG - Haru Haru (Orchestra Version Concert)
BIG BANG - Haru Haru (Orchestra Version @ KBS Music Festival)
BIG BANG - Haru Haru (Perf @ Korean Broadcast Award)
BIG BANG - Haru Haru (Perf @ M.Core)
BIG BAG - Haru Haru (Parody for Infinity Challenge w/ Eng subs)
WonderGuys - Haru Haru (Parody by amateurs w/ Eng subs)

Ahhhh, Ryo-chan is sick so for the time being, I'll fangirl over some Korean boys XD
Well, I dont' think he's infected by the A influenza but has a bad flu, hope he'll get well soon.
I feel bad for neglecting Kanjani8 these last days, but they're still my favourite group.
I realized that it's the only group I buy all the CDs and DVDs.

Dramas to watch next season : ROMES and My Girl~

OK, I'm gonna take out my lenses now~

I'm baaaaaaaack!! Hehehe.
For those who didn't know, I was sick.
Well, I don't still feel very well but it's ok now.

I had a good time in Andorra, but it was more complicated in Barcelona.
I was supposed to spend 5 days in a renovated apartment in the town centre, but when we visited it...

No way we could stay there, so we had to find somewhere to stay.
Luckily, we knew a hotel where we went 2 years ago in Viladecans.
But we had plenty of little misfortunes there.
Maybe it was our karma XD

But I took some nice pictures, my favourite one is:

And I saw a cute poor little thing emprisonned in a cage

I spent my birthday in Andorra, 2 of my cousins bought me dinner and my parents offered me sunglasses.
Since it's Andorra, almost everything is less expensive, computer stuff and perfumes in particular so I bought Escale à Portofino and a new external hard drive of 1To for 80€ only!

I most importantly, I could drink Aquarius!!!!!!
Why don't they sell that in France?!

And let's fangirlize a bit...
I bought the Blu Ray of Crows Zero online since a French editor has released it.
Except that I didn't check when the DVD would be out because I assumed it would be the at the same time as the regular DVD.
But no, I'll ba able to see Yamada in super high quality in November only ç___ç
My LE Arashi Best Of in the way to my home, and I'm thinking of which Kanjani8 DVD I'm gonna buy...
Now I let you with the last song of SMAP in date ♥

Oh, and if you like K-Dramas, you can try Partner, I love it!
Second "oh", on Thursday on Arte, there'll be the film Fanaa, which is really good.
Don't miss it if you like the Bollywood style.

aanjali: (01)
Updating from my phone.

I'm between France and Spain right now, in the mountains.
That's funny cause I'm at the same height than the clouds.

My mother adviced me not to do bungee jump like I wanted since I had a car accident some years ago. Apparently, it wouldn't be good for my brain... So, I'll listen to her.

Yesterday, I did kayak. 9 kms, I think it was a bit too much, and I was alone in the boat, it's harder.

Today, I did karting, I love speed but I'm too careful when I drive I think.

Now, I plan to go walking in the mountains, to ride horses, and to swim in rivers.
Looks like the mountains air is good for me...
aanjali: (Rangers)
I changed my LJ layout, I like the banner better and the colours (yes, with a "u" XD) are more like Summer.
But I'm stll not used to it, everytime I go on my Friends page, I'm a bit surprised because Ryo's gone.
I wanted to make it a bit more little but actually, it looks fine this way (or I think) and I quite proud of the result.

Soon, I'll be on holiday, yeah~
I'm going to Andorra (Arinsal to be more precise) and then Barcelona! \o/
You can't imagine how much I love that city...

Still on a drama spree, this summer will be a K-Dramas one, that's rare!

I think we need a little update here )

Oh, I received my Kanjani8 goods!

I'm hesitating now, since the DVD of the Puzzle tour and their next single are officially announced, I don't know if I'll buy the Arashi pamphlet and the Aiba clearfile... I'll see that later.
aanjali: (02)
Some people around me sometimes tell me that japanese dramas suck.
Today, I can say that I'm the living proof that dramas can help in everyday life!

I spent my Friday and Saturday in Paris and got 2 occasions to speak Japanese.

The first time, it was to help people who wanted to go to Mont saint Michel which is quite far from Paris.
And the second time, to explain people that they had to go to the police station because they got robbed.

I was at the counter to change my ticket and a RATP officer asked me how I say "wallet" in my language...
Well, "wallet" cause I'm not Japanese.

I explained to the tourists that they should declare the robbery and a cute little girl asked me if I could come with them.

I answered that I couldn't because I had a train to take.
I hope they're ok now.

And you know how I manage to communicate with them?
Thanks to the dramas I had watched, so now people can't tell me I shouldn't watch them or that it's a loss of time.
Hi hi hi.
aanjali: (Aiba)
Hello everyone, I just wanted to tell you that I won't be able to comment your entries a lot during the whole month of July.
This because I'll have to change "homes" several times and sometimes I won't have an internet connexion.
I'll begin my job on Wednesday, I'll work in the marketing department and I'm a bit stressed.
